Polarity page

Use the settings on the
Polarity
 page in the
Axis Properties
 dialog box to choose polarity options for the actual motor.
TIP:
To open the Polarity page:
  1. In the
    Controller Organizer
    , expand the
    Motion Groups
     folder, then right-click the axis and select
    Properties
    .
  2. From the
    Axis Properties
     dialog box, in
    Categories
    , select
    Polarity
    .
Parameter
Description
Motion Polarity
Select
Normal
 or
Inverted
 for the polarity of the motion planner.
Motor Polarity
Select
Normal
 or
Inverted
 for the motor polarity.
Motor Polarity
 appears dimmed when the axis configuration is set to no feedback. It is enabled for all other axis configurations.
Feedback 1 Polarity
Select
Normal
 or
Inverted
 for the polarity of the motor feedback device.
Feedback 1 Polarity
 appears dimmed when the configuration is set to no feedback.
Feedback 2 Polarity
Select
Normal
 or
Inverted
 for the polarity of the motor feedback device.
Feedback 2 Polarity
appears dimmed when the configuration is set to no feedback.
Test Polarity
Opens the
Motor & Feedback
tab in the
Hookup Tests
 dialog box.
Test Polarity
 is unavailable in offline mode and online in Servo On mode.
