Change EtherNet/IP Mode dialog box
Use this dialog box when the controller is offline to change the EtherNet/IP Mode setting of the A1/A2 Ethernet ports on the controller. The EtherNet/IP Mode describes the relationship between the CIP EtherNet/IP ports and the physical Ethernet ports. The CIP EtherNet/IP port can be configured as one of two modes:
- Dual-IP
- Linear/DLR
This dialog box is available only for controllers that support one or more configurable Ethernet port pairs, for example, the
CompactLogix
5380 and CompactLogix
5480 controllers. The CompactLogix
5480 controller's standalone B1 port is not reconfigurable and retains the same configuration regardless of the EtherNet/IP Mode.
TIP:
To open the Change Ethernet/IP Mode dialog:
- On theOnlinetoolbar, click theController Propertiesicon.
- On theController Propertiesdialog box, click theGeneraltab, and clickChange IP Mode.
Parameter | Description |

New mode | Specifies the new EtherNet/IP Mode. Available modes:

Move I/O and MSG Paths to port | Specifies which local Ethernet port in the I/O Configuration tree to add the I/O module when changing from Linear/DLR mode to Dual-IP mode. This parameter is available when the New mode changes from Linear/DLR mode to Dual-IP mode and at least one I/O module is underneath a configurable port pair in the I/O Configuration tree. |
