Generate Report dialog box settings

Use the
Generate Report
dialog box to create and print reports for components in the Controller Organizer. You can create a report for one component or for several components at once.
The following table describes the parameters available:
Parameter
Description
Component Selection
Displays the components in your project for which you can generate a report. When a component is selected, a selection icon appears in the component check box.
Report Selection
Displays the reports you can generate for the selected components.
Print Options
Opens the
Print Options
dialog box.
Page Setup
Opens the
Page Setup
dialog box.
Print
Confirms your selections, prints the reports, and closes the
Generate Report
dialog.
Component Selection details
Icons used in the Component Selection area:
Parent_AllChildren - The parent and all of its children are selected.
NoParent_SomeChildren - The parent is
not
selected, but some (not all) of its children are selected.
Child - A child is selected (you can select a child without necessarily selecting its parent). The Child icon is also displayed when you select the Add-On Instructions component folder without selecting any of its children.
You can select the following components. When you select a child of a folder, the folder is automatically selected.
  • Project
    - The controller, tags, routines, add-on instructions, and I/O Configuration are all children of this component.
  • Controller
    - The controller for the project.
  • Tags
    - Controller and program-scoped tag collections of your project are children of this selection. Only tag collections that have tags defined are listed under this selection.
  • Routines
    - Tasks are children of this category. Each program in the task is a child of the task, and each routine in a program is a child of the program.
  • Add-On Instructions
    - The Add-On Instruction category is not displayed unless you include at least one Add-On Instruction in your project.
  • Data Types
    - User-defined data types, strings, predefined data types, and module-defined data types are children of this component.
  • I/O Configuration
    - The backplane and each of its components are all children of this component.
Report Selection details
The reports you can generate include the following.
  • Table of Contents
    - Include a table of contents in your report. By default, the table of contents appears at the end of a report.
  • Controller
    - There are two controller reports — Controller Organizer Listing and Controller Properties Listing. These reports only appear if you select the
    Project
    component.
  • Tag
    - There is one tag report — Tag Listing. This report appears only if you select the
    Tags
    component.
  • Tasks
    - There is one task report — Tasks Properties Listing. This report appears only if you select the
    Routines
    component.
  • Program/Phase
    - There is one program/phase report — Program/Phase Properties Listing. This report appears only if you select the
    Routines
    component.
  • Routine
    - The routine reports include Routine Listing, Tag Listing for Routine, Sequencing and Step Tag Listing, and Routine Properties Listing. These reports only appear if you select the
    Routines
    component.
  • Add-On Instructions
    - There are two potential add-on instruction reports — Add-On Instruction Definition and Add-On Instruction Signature Listing. The Add-On Instruction Signature Listing report appears only if you select the
    Add-On Instructions
    component. The Add-On Instruction Definition report appears only if you select a child of the
    Add-On Instructions
    folder.
  • Data Type
    - There is one data type report — Data Type Listing. This report appears only if you select the
    Data Types
    component.
  • Module Properties
    - There is one module properties report — Module Properties Listing. This report appears only if you select the
    I/O Configuration
    component.
  • OPC UA
    - The OPC UA report indicates whether the controller supports OPC UA and if so, for which controller ports.
