Search, Find, Browse Logic, and Replace
The
Find
, Browse Logic
, and Replace
functions on the Search
menu allow you to search and replace in routines, tags and programs. You can specify which components to search for and where to search.Searching the Language Editors (Routines)
When you search through routines, the search begins from the caret location. Once the search finds the specified item, the item is selected.
If the search finds an item within a routine that is not open or active in the language editor, the routine is opened and the found item is selected.
Searching the Tag Editor/Data Monitor (Tags)
When you search through tags, the search begins from the current cell location. If the cell text is active (that is, the caret is visible), the search begins from the caret location. If the searched column is hidden, the column will be toggled to visible once the search finds an item.
Any non-tag value is committed before searching begins. If the pending edit can’t be committed, the search is automatically canceled.
Searching the Controller Organizer/Logical Organizer (Programs)
When you initiate a search for program names from the Controller Organizer or Logical Organizer, the system searches the programs in the active organizer’s tree.
