Configure a static network

Configure a static network by adding a system object and configuring its parameters.
  1. Create a system object instance:
    1. In the
      Type view
      pane, double-click
      System
      .
    2. Drag
      System
      from the
      Type view
      pane to the
      Model
      folder in the
      Project view
      pane.
      At runtime,
      FactoryTalk Optix Studio
creates an object for each network interface (wired) detected on the machine.
  2. In
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio
    , select
    Run
to run the project using the client emulator to test your project. To run the project on a remote client, see #.
  3. At runtime, set the relevant values.
MANCIA: In case of a configuration error,
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio
shows an error message in the FTOptixRuntime log.
Restart the machine to complete the configuration.
MANCIA: If the DHCP service is active within the System object, the addresses automatically assigned by the DHCP server are saved.
