Configure the amount of information in the Output pane

The module log level configuration specifies the maximum level of information displayed in the
Output
 panel. By default, the
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
Output
 pane shows warnings and all errors of maximum and minimum severity.  All information is stored in the system log file, regardless of the maximum information level displayed in
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
.
Change the level of information displayed in the
Output
 panel for all
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
 Platform modules or just specific modules.
  1. In the main toolbar, select
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options
    .
  2. Select
    Advanced mode
    , and then select
    Close
    .
  3. Close
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio
     and then reopen the software to enable the updated options settings to take effect.
  4. Select the down arrow on
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options
     and select
    Module log level configuration
    .
    Module log level configuration
     opens and lists every module in the project.
  5. Set the information level:
    • In
      Default level
      , select the default maximum information level for messages generated by all modules.
    • (optional) For each individual module, override the default level with a specific information level for that module.
  6. Select
    Close.
