Tool Bar
The main Data Explorer tool bar has the following icons:

To display and manage a list of imported datasets as well as artifacts saved in the project including filters, analyses, plots, and exports. | |

To select all the data displayed in the UI. | |
To import data from an XLS or CSV file, add new variables or rows and link to a Pavilion8 dataset, or export your dataset or select variables to develop a Virtual Online Analyzer model. | |
Click the drop-down menu in the Dataset icon to open an imported dataset, spreadsheet, transforms, or time merge configure custom dataset properties or reorder dataset variables. | |
Click the drop-down menu in the Plot icon to select a type of plot to display. Any mapped dataset variable may be added to a display. Alternatively, you can also select a new plot to display by right-clicking on the viewed content data and selecting Plot > <plot_type>. | |
Click the drop-down menu in the Analysis icon to select aplot to display by right-clicking on the viewed content data and selecting Analyze > <analysis_type>. | |
To define and apply highlighting rules, reset a highlighter, or convert it to a filter. Most highlighting activities are done directly within plots, but highlighting editing or management is executed with options under the Highlighter icon. See“Highlighting Data” on page 59 for more details | |
Click the Filter icon to create a new or edit an existing dataset filter. See“Filtering Data” for more details. |
