Our 3 Areas of Concentration
We meet our customers where they are on their ESG journey. Whether they’re just starting or leading the way, we help them translate insights into impacts across energy, water, and waste. Our technologies provide data transparency across value chains and enable our partners to scale innovative and often industry-first sustainable solutions.
Our continuous improvement framework meets customers at every stage, interconnected by data and the "digital thread." The Connected Enterprise® seamlessly integrates plant-level and enterprise networks, connecting people, processes, and technologies across industrial operations.

ASSESS
Building a sustainability strategy is a crucial starting point for many companies. We assess operational sustainability by integrating data from various sources and existing technologies, converting it into actionable insights. Our sustainability assessment services span environmental, social, and governance.
ADVANCE
Customers need solutions to advance their sustainability efforts by leveraging higher quality data and insights, and by increasing data visibility, completeness, and contextualization across the enterprise. We help our customers turn insights into strengths with a range of technologies that collect, integrate, and analyze sustainability and productivity data, including the data sources themselves.
ACCELERATE
We help customers accelerate operational sustainability through continuous optimization and connection of processes and systems driven by AI, data, and co-innovation. Our platforms and AI-based solutions, like model predictive control and digital twins, optimize energy, water, and waste, while maximizing safety and cybersecurity.

Enabling the Circular Economy
We help customers reduce electronic waste (e-waste), support their sustainability initiatives, and improve productivity by supporting their participation in the circular economy.
In manufacturing, the circular economy aims for zero waste and net zero carbon emissions across the product lifecycle, including material extraction, manufacturing, and consumer use. Unlike the linear model where products are discarded after use, the circular economy returns products to an industrial process for reuse or environmentally-friendly disposal, extending the life of assets in a continuous-use loop.
Rockwell supports customers across industries participating in the circular economy on several fronts. For more than 30 years, we have provided a sustainable alternative to purchasing new manufacturing equipment with our Industrial Automation Repair Services.

Reducing E-Waste with a “Fix-it-First” Strategy

By choosing to repair already-owned assets rather than buying new, a global consumer packaged goods company was able to achieve an estimated 90% reduction in avoided CO₂ equivalent scope 3 emissions.
