Export a FactoryTalk Optix Application to a USB drive

Export a
FactoryTalk Optix Application
to a USB drive to use a USB drive to deploy the
FactoryTalk Optix Application
to client machines do not have access to the same network resources as the
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
development environment. This is useful for clients that are in isolated environments where connections to network resources are strictly controlled.
  1. In
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio
    , select the arrow next to
    Save
    to open the pull-down menu.
  2. Select
    Export FactoryTalk Optix Application to USB
    to open the
    Export to USB
    dialog.
  3. In
    Export to USB,
    complete:
    • Platform.
      Select the operating system of the client device.
    • USB drive.
      Select the USB drive to which to export the application.
    • Username.
      Specify the administrator account of the client device.
    • Password.
      Specify the password of the administrator account.
    • Clear application files.
      Select to overwrite an existing
      FactoryTalk Optix Application
      on the client device and delete the runtime files associated with that application. Clear if the application is installing while the existing application is still running.
  4. Select
    Export
    .
