PVSD status and online commands
Use the
General
tab of the PVSD Properties
dialog box to monitor the status of the Process Variable Speed Drive (PVSD) instruction and to run online commands. To monitor the status of PVSD instructions and run online commands
- On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
- On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
- In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and selectConfigure <tag name>.
- Open theGeneraltab.
- Run these commands:
- Bypassable permissives & interlocks: Check. Tells the instruction that all permissives and interlocks, bypassable or not, are to be checked during operation.
- Bypassable permissives & interlocks: Bypass. Tells the instruction that bypassable permissives and interlocks are bypassed, or ignored, during operation.
- Operator/maintenance online commands. Use these buttons to start and stop the drive. The commands are enabled when online with the controller and the valve and instruction are ready for the command to initiate. The valve immediately responds to the command unless the operator must confirm the command. If the command request requires a signature, this will enforce security from the HMI and disable the command from the Logix Designer dialog.TIP: Visibility of the command buttons is dynamic based on the configuration of the device.
- Sheds and alarms reset. Resets all latched sheds and alarms for which the condition has returned to normal. The button is enabled when the device and the instruction are ready for reset and a signature is not required. The action is immediate if the command request does not need to be confirmed by the operator. If the command request requires a signature, this will enforce security from the HMI and disable the command from the Logix Designer dialog. The button is always disabled when the device is offline.
- Physical/Virtual. Switch between physical and virtual operation. When you select physical operation, the instruction monitors and controls physical equipment. When you select virtual operation, a simulation of the equipment is used, and the actual equipment is left idle.
- View the read-only parameters:
- Input labels. Displays the label for each input.
- Numeric values. Displays the current value of the input, gate, or output.
- Device state. When theLogix Designerapplication is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Stopped, Running, Out of service.
- Device issues. When theLogix Designerapplication is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions: None, Interlock trip, Fail to start, Fail to stop, Drive fault, I/O fault, or Configuration error.
