Diagnose a problem with the link

Use the
Port Diagnostics
dialog box to view the status of the link performance to diagnose a problem with the link between a selected port and node. You can also reset and clear all status counters.
Prerequisites
  • The device is online.
To diagnose a problem with the link between a port and node
  1. On the tab for the device, select
    Port Status
    .
  2. In the
    Port Status
    view, in the
    Port Diagnostics
    column for the corresponding port, select FTDStudioPortDiag
    .
  3. In
    Port Diagnostics
    , view this diagnostics information:
    • Octet and packet counters
    • Collisions on the link
    • Errors on the link
  4. (optional) Select
    Reset Counters
    to reset and clear status counters.
