Diagnose a problem with the link
Use the
Port Diagnostics
dialog box to view the status of the link performance to diagnose a problem with the link between a selected port and node. You can also reset and clear all status counters.Prerequisites
- The device is online.
To diagnose a problem with the link between a port and node
- On the tab for the device, selectPort Status.
- In thePort Statusview, in thePort Diagnosticscolumn for the corresponding port, select.
- InPort Diagnostics, view this diagnostics information:
- Octet and packet counters
- Collisions on the link
- Errors on the link
- (optional) SelectReset Countersto reset and clear status counters.
