Import a switch configuration

Restore a switch configuration by importing the switch configuration from files stored on the computer. The switch configuration includes the config.text file and the vlan.dat file.
To import the switch configuration files
  1. On the tab for the device, select
    Save/Restore
    .
  2. In the
    Save/Restore
     view, select
    Import
    .
  3. For Logix Designer in the selection dialog box, select the one or more configuration files as listed in the dialogue box's title, and then select
    Open
    .
    For FactoryTalk Design Studio in the Import dialogue box, select
    Browse
    , select the configuration file, select
    Open,
     and then select
    Next
     for every configuration file. After the last configuration file is selected, click
    Import
    .
    TIP: To download the imported configuration to the switch, select
    Download
    .
