Back up

  1. Take the backup of the websocketService.dll.config file to use the same certificate path with password, which is available in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Automation\FactoryTalk Activation Websocket Service
    NOTE:
    Ensure to take backup of the
    <FQDN-hostname>.p12
     file if it is available in the above folder, the file will be deleted when the Websocket Service is uninstalled.

  2. Execute the following command to delete the Activation Websocket Service: 
    sc delete ActivationWebsocketService
    Delete Activation Websocket Service
  3. Execute the following command to delete the Activation Manager Service: 
    sc delete "FactoryTalk Activation Service"
    Delete Activation Manager Service
