Install a screen reader extension

You can install a screen reader extension to your Chrome browser from the Chrome Web Store. Screen reader extension allows you to select a text or UI element on the web page using a mouse or keyboard and to read it aloud using the built-in text-to-speech (TTS) service.
Follow the instructions to install a screen reader extension to the Chrome web browser:
  1. Using the Chrome browser, search for Chrome Web Store.
    Alternatively, paste the following URL in the search bar and press
    Enter
    .
    https://chromewebstore.google.com/
  2. In the
    Search extensions and themes
    field, type
    Screen Reader
    or any specific screen reader extension name and search.
  3. From the search results, select the screen reader extension you want to install.
    The selected extension’s detail page is displayed.
  4. Click
    Add to Chrome
    .
    A dialog box displays asking the confirmation to install the selected extension.
  5. Click
    Add extension
    .
    You will be notified once the screen reader extension is successfully added to the Chrome browser.
Mange your screen reader extension
Follow the instructions to enable or disable a screen reader extension:
  1. At the top right corner of the Chrome window, select
    Customize and control Google Chrome
    []
    > Extensions > Manage Extensions
    .
    The Chrome browser displays the
    Extensions
    page.
  2. Using the toggle button, turn on or turn off the extension that you want to manage.
