The Feedback n Serial Number attribute is a 16-character string that specifies the serial number of the device associated with Feedback n. If it is not possible for the drive to read the Serial Number from the feedback device the drive sets this attribute to a Null string.
For track systems, the Feedback 1 Serial Number attribute returns the physical mover sequence number assigned to the mover axis by the track system’s mover-axis assignment process. The controller can use this unique value the to verify that the mover-axis assignment has not changed as part of the APR process. If the mover axis instance cannot be assigned to a physical mover, the track section sets this attribute to the Null string, 0.
