Configure the redundant gateway

Use the
Redundant Gateway
view to configure the properties of the redundant gateway.
Prerequisites
  • The switch is online and communicating with the switch.
  • The switch is operating on a ring network.
To configure the redundant gateway
  1. On the tab for the device, expand
    Device Level Ring
    , and then expand the appropriate
    Ring
    .
  2. Select
    Redundant Gateway
    .
  3. In the
    Redundant Gateway
    view, select
    Enable Redundant Gateway
     to enable a redundant gateway for the Device Level Ring (DLR).
  4. Fill in these parameters:
    • Advertise Interval
    • Advertise Timeout
    • Precedence
  5. (optional) Select
    Enable Sending Learning Update Frame
    to make the redundant gateway send learning update messages. The configuration takes effect immediately.
  6. Select
    Set
     to send the changes to the switch.
