Upload/download a switch configuration file

Use the
Save/Restore
 view to upload and download the switch configuration to and from the switch.
TIP:
You may need to enter a valid switch password to upload or download the switch configuration.
Prerequisites
  • The device is online.
To upload/download a switch configuration
  1. On the tab for the devicce, select
    Save/Restore
    .
  2. In the
    Save/Restore
    view, continue with one of these two steps as needed:
    • To upload the switch configuration to the project, select
      Upload
      .
      The
      config.text and vlan.dat files are uploaded from the switch to the project.
    • To download the switch configuration to the switch, select
      Download
      .
      The config.text and vlan.dat files are downloaded from the project to the switch.
      TIP:
      A download confirmation dialog box appears when attempting to download the configuration. If a connection interruption at this time is acceptable, select
      Yes
      .
