15:00 - 15:30 | Virtual Commissioning of a Tote Conveyor System in the Meat Processing Industry. Find out how Simplan implemented a digital twin for the virtual commissioning of PLC controllers. Steffen Hertling will highlight the benefits and challenges of commissioning a tote conveyor system in the meat processing industry. |

16:00 - 16:30 | Virtual Commissioning of an Automated Logistic Plant with Optimized WMS. Mattia Bersani of CLS iMation will present a case study about the success and potential of Emulate3D-driven automation in the food sector, to demonstrate how virtual commissioning stands as a pivotal milestone in the validation and optimization of manufacturing processes. Find out how they simulated the intricate workflows of packaging lines, manual and cobot-assisted palletization, and the deployment of AMRs for goods delivery, laying the groundwork for seamless integration of physical operations in a digitalized plant. How high-level emulation functionalities enabled them to configure and optimize their WMS (i.e., LOGiN Automation) before final delivery of the plant, adding value to the commissioning phase. |

16:30 - 17:00 | Beyond Boundaries: Elevating Virtual Commissioning Performance for Automated Painting Lines. When it comes to virtual commissioning in industrial automation, the pursuit of efficiency and precision is paramount. Mohamad Sharaf of B+M Surface Systems will explain how they use Emulate3D's Digital Twin Components to overcome the unique challenges in their automated painting lines - to simulate thousands of components whilst capturing the complexity of fluid flow, and maintaining real-time compatibility with PLCs. |

9:30 - 10:00 | Optimize the Design of a Robotic Unscrambler Using a Parametric Digital Twin. Creating a digital twin of a machine can provide huge benefits when designing a new machine prototype. But as Ronchi Packaging found, Emulate3D delivers even greater opportunities. Hear from Zilio Alberto how they created a digital twin of the robotic bottle unscramble machine, and made it parametric, allowing them to easily adapt the digital twin to many machine configurations simply by changing a set of parameters. For optimum configuration of the machine, they used third-party software (modeFRONTIER), which is capable of exchanging data with Emulate3D to yield the best set of parameters. |

14:00 - 14:30 | Occam's razor approach for fast but flexible and complex food industry projects with Emulate3D. In this session, Andrés Alacid Cano of Inemur will present a successful case of Emulate3D integration into a small project management company, where they used Quicklogic in a bid to keep things as simple as possible; rapidly developing flexible, complex projects. This is a great example of a problem-solving approach when there is a lack of standardization, resources are limited, and time is of the essence. |
