Distributed Mode Installation

  1. If the FTA Activation Service, FTA Security provider and DataView are to be installed on different machines, then install these services in the following order:
    • FTA Activation Service: Run the FactoryTalk Analytics DataView Installer and select [FT Activation Service] and [FT Activation Manager] in the Components Selection section. Refer to FT Activation Service.
    • FTA Security Provider: Run the FactoryTalk Analytics DataView Installer and select [FTA Security] in the Components Selection section. Refer to FTA Security.
    • FTA DataView: Run the FactoryTalk Analytics DataView Installer and select [DataView] in the Components Selection section. Refer to DataView.
  2. Start the following services:
    • FactoryTalk Activation Websocket Service
    • FactoryTalk Activation Service
    • FactoryTalk Activation Helper.
