Create a project

Create a project

The first step towards building a runtime application is creating a project. A
View Designer
 project includes screens, controller references, and information about the target HMI device.
View Designer
 creates and uses the file extension .vpd for user-created projects. By default, projects are saved to <user>\My Documents\Studio 5000\Projects.
Use the
View
tab on the
New Project
 dialog box to:
  • Create and name a
    View Designer
     project.
  • Select the type of HMI device.
